to work some JA stations.

HB2DOT: One station logged me as HB9BOT on 8th Apr., probably between 0815-0900, I did
not count this QSO.

IS0IGV: Propagations on 14MHz not very good, but my compliments for excellent contest
this is my first time on JA contest, Best 73 at all organizations.
K7AW(K5ZM): First time I've ever played in this one. Too bad that flare came along
and really screwed things up on 10 meters. Missed the first several: hours of
the 'test due to work committments, but it must not have: a big deal 'cause I
ended up bagging it several hours before: the end due to the low activity levels.
LY5W(LY1DR): 3 Contest's in one weekend!
N0AC: Operated at WA0ROI zone 04
N4MM: Had Limited time to participate due to Travel.
N6ZZ Happy to work many friends in Japan!
OD5/OK1MU: Nice contest - thanks ALL JA for QSO. SRI, again not any JD1. CONDX not very
well,(07/04 strong Aur.),but FB activity 28 MHz. Over 1100 QSO - 46 pref. - not

the Contest Committee and hpe cuagn in all contest. Vy 73! Declaration on the
"Special Contest Award" on 10 meters band
SM6BSK: Always find it very nice to meet your excellent operators! They succeed to pull
my weak signals through, even if the condx are not on top.
SP5JTF: Vy bad DX condition to JA land, Here is classification top five LP Stn from
Europe the same in low band contest part! Vy nice contest.
SP7QO: Dear Freiends in japan, This is my very first participation in a JA contest.
Unfortunately this event had not been earier planed by me. Simply I sit down at my
shack, switched on my equipment, heard the JA stasion calling, and thought "it may
be interesting thing to call one station and see if it would answer my qrp calling".
It was very certain "it willnot do" ..., but it did ..., so I have made the contest
getting big pleasure myself "This is my very first contact with Japan from here,
using my first Japanese HF transceiver of my own, and with a very low power ...".
Than I had tuned through the band and have simply made contacts with every new JA
station found tuning to the highest end of the contest cw band. To my big and nice
surprise each new station did the answer to my calling ! Sorry I had no time that
evening to stay longer than only about one hour at my home and the shack, but
probably next year I will try again to participate in this nice contest. It would
be great yo me, to make contacts with may be all 50 prefectures of JA and/or to
meet again my "very very first" fellow >from JA Kazuo, JA1AS, if he still is active
in the air, and I do hope to the condx will still remain good. Until now I have
used two other transcevivers of ICOM (IC-245E / VHF and IC-720A / HF), so I am now
convinced that radiocommmunication equipment of ICOM works excellent.
With best regards,
SP9AQY VY GD Contest! UFB!
UA3YKG: Many Thanks, 73.
UA4LM: Dear friends ! I worked in JIDX HFCW Contest again and was very glad to meet many
of my JA-friends on Ten-meters bands. I changed band becouse we made new big antenna
5 over 5 elements mono-band Yagi and tested it in Contest (in JIDXC'99 I used "4
over 4 el. for 21 mc). After Contest'2000 on Monday 10 of April I got results for
JIDXC HFCW 99. Many thaanks for "1st UA" Certificate. And as I see I had 3rd score
in World/Europe ....Hi. My congratulation to "Gold" winner SP5GRM. It is interesting
to know type of his antenna becouse I cann't understand how he worked so much JA
stations. I heard all JA/QRP with RST 599 and if his antenna made possible QSO with
QRPPPP stations (without using old logs & call-books) - it is antenna of my dream!
Nobody worked so big summary of multipliers =48 as SP5GRM. If he had real contacts
with all shown prefectures - he is greate DX'er. I asked many JIDXC'99-contesters
about contacts with mult.47 (JR6) and 48-50 (JD1) after Contest and nobody told
about QSO with them. I met only one JD1-call, but he was /JA1...
UA6LTI: Nice contest, thanks 73.
UY0ZG TNX FOR CONTEST!
VE4IM: Very poor conditions due to geo magnetic storm.
W7GG: Activity to low to sustain interest although I had planned a serious effort. Sunny
WX and many outdoor projects lured me from the dulldrums of low participation !!
WA2VQV;Very poor band conditions here!
XQ3ZW It was a nice contest. JA always vy gentlemen. It had not FB condx.
YB3ZES(YD3BMB): YOROSHIKU ONEGAI SHIMASU.
YO5CRQ: My first JIDX Contest! Sometimes strange propagation.: Hope to do it again next
year also. 73s !
YU7SF: This was my 9th japan international dx contest-high bands-cw and my 2,195 contest
log entry at all. (1991,92,94,95,96,97,98,99,2000)
YV7QP: VERY DIFICULT MAKE QSO WITH THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD ONLY WITH 80W.
CONGRATULATIONS FB CONTEST!
